Ten years ago, the Hamlet consisted of just a single apartment – Tara’s family home.
It was known simply as the Nest.
Slowly and ever so carefully, Tara and her husband Christoph have been restoring the rest of this magnificent 18th-century townhouse, drawing on the creative flair of Tara’s mother (the artist, Lynne Hacking) and the entrepreneurial zeal of her father, Michael.
Their aim has always been to retain the warm, easy-going intimacy and softly spoken luxury of that first apartment.
Today, they’ve transformed the Nest into a whole Hamlet, where that original atmosphere of life well lived continues to thrive.
