Arnaud Christin, founder of complete Works Geneva, has a unique design philosophy that seamlessly blends functionality, artistry, and a deep respect for natural materials. Since establishing his furniture gallery in Old Town Geneva in 2003, he has built a career driven by passion, evolving from furniture design to larger architectural projects that shape the spaces where people live, work, and unwind.
A Journey Through Design
Christin’s path into architecture and interior design was organic, shaped by opportunity and demand. Originally focused on curating and designing furniture, he found himself drawn into space-making when a client requested his expertise in renovating an old barn. That project reignited his connection to architecture, leading to larger commissions, and soon enough he had expanded his team to accommodate increasingly ambitious projects such as the first five star hotel in Wengen, Switzerland.
The Hamlet’s Waterfront Vision
The upcoming Hamlet residence on Geneva’s waterfront promises to be a beautiful reflection of elegant design, where every element is meticulously crafted to enhance the living experience. Christin emphasises his deep appreciation for natural materials, particularly wood—a key element in the project’s aesthetic.
“I love working with solid wood,” he shares. “Wood ages beautifully, developing a patina that adds character to a space.”
This philosophy will be embedded in the apartments, where different wood accents will define spaces, creating warmth and intimacy. The approach extends to other materials as well, such as the stone used in the bathrooms, carefully chosen for its natural beauty and texture. Every touchpoint in the residence—whether the fabric of the furniture or the grain of the wood—has been thoughtfully selected to create a sensory experience that evokes comfort and refinement.
A Holistic Approach to Design
Christin’s vision extends to hospitality, with the complete Works team, including Valéry Clavien who is the architect behind the new Hamlet, the duo is also designing Arthur’s, a restaurant that will be located below the new Hamlet. This synergy between residential and dining spaces will further enhance the overall experience for those who live and stay at the Hamlet.
For those seeking a home that embodies sophistication and a deep connection to its surroundings, the Hamlet’s newest address will be a place where elegance and craftsmanship meet, offering an unparalleled living experience in Geneva where you can stay for a night or live for a year.
