Alchimie Forever, one of our esteemed partners at the Hamlet, is a Geneva based skincare brand with a story that deserves to be celebrated.
The journey began in 1986 with Dr. Luigi Polla, a pioneering dermatologist who needed a solution for his young patients undergoing innovative laser treatments. Dr. Polla introduced laser technology in Europe after his fellowship at the Wellman Labs in Boston, MA. This revolutionary method was used to treat port-wine stains and other facial conditions, particularly on children. However, these treatments often left the skin inflamed, so started the research by Dr. Polla who developed a soothing product to reduce post-treatment inflammation. The results were so remarkable that patients began requesting the product for everyday use, sparking the idea for what would become Alchimie Forever.
In 2004, Dr. Polla’s eldest daughter, Ada Polla, recognised the potential of these formulations and decided to bring them to a global audience. This marked the birth of Alchimie Forever, a brand at the intersection of science, dermatological medicine, and clean beauty.

Their products are available online and can also be experienced at the Forever Institut, a medical skincare center located on Rue du Rhône in Geneva, led by Dr. Polla.
When I had the chance to speak with Ada, who serves as the CEO of Alchimie Forever, I couldn’t resist asking for her favorite spots in Geneva. For mouthwatering chocolate, she recommends Favarger.
